How it works:

A small amount of blood (10-20ml) is drawn from your arm

The tube containing your blood is then placed in a machine called a centrifuge which helps separate your blood into layers. A high concentration of platelets will be separated into one of these layers.

That layer of highly concentrated platelets is then extracted from the tube and injected back into the desired area to be treated.
